Admission to all Nevada state parks free on Saturday

If you're looking for something to do this weekend, admission to all Nevada state parks is free on Saturday.
ADVERTISEMENT
All park fees including entrance, camping and boating will be waived on September 26 in honor of Nevada Public Lands Day.
Nevada Public Lands Day encourages Nevadans to discover the many exciting and affordable recreation opportunities right in their backyards.
Here are some options in northern Nevada to check out:
Walker River - Introduction to archery
- When: September 25 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Where: Meet at the visitor center at Walker Lake State Recreation Area
Washoe Lake - Guided hike
- When: September 25 from 10 a.m. to noon
- Where: Washoe Lake State Park north boat ramp parking lot
