The Portland Police Bureau is renewing its call for information in a cold case on the five-year anniversary of a Portland man's death. A reward is being offered for information in the unsolved homicide of Stephen Dwayne McCorvey Jr.
The shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. on September 23, 2015. Officers were dispatched to the area of Northeast 15th Avenue and Buffalo Street where they found two people inside a car who had been shot.
A 41-year-old woman was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Police say 30-year-old McCorvey died at the scene.
With no leads on a suspect, police are asking people to come forward with information related to the case. In partnership with PPB, Crime Stoppers of Oregon is offering up to a $2,500 cash reward for information that leads to an arrest. Tips can be made anonymously.
