Married At First Sight UK's Luke admitted he pressed Bob to quit the show in unseen footage.

Bob left the experiment on Tuesday (September 21) after struggling to make it work with his wife Megan, after she cheated on him with one of the other cast members.

Luke told Metro that Bob had confided in him about the issues in his relationship with Megan.

"There were conversations on and off camera and it was like, you need to go now," he told the publication. "I was really close to him on the show and I had separate conversations with him."

Bob and Megan's relationship has been rocky for most of this season after Megan cheated, admitting she felt an "emotional connection" with Jordon during the first cast dinner.

Jordon and his match Alexis called it quits then, with Alexis later being re-matched with Ant. Megan and Bob on the other hand tried to push through and salvage their relationship.

Megan told the experts last week: "I was feeling very alone. Me and Bob were both really gutted that [our marriage] wasn't what we both wanted… [Jordon] and I felt that maybe we were a better match."

Luke continued: "I told him: 'Think about your decision now because I don't want to see you getting hurt. You've got the homestays coming up and the final vows, you've done your job pal and it's not there'.

"It was tough love. It just didn't work out for those relationships, but it was time."

Bob and Megan decided to try and make it work at last week's re-commitment ceremony, but unfortunately they decided to go their separate ways.

Megan previously said that there were large parts of her relationship with Bob that also didn't make it to air.

"I know it's reality and I know it's a TV show," she said. "But even me watching it back, it's crazy how much relationship progression or regression you don't get to see.

"You don't get to see the breakdowns of relationships, you don't get to see the progression either."

Married at First Sight UK airs Monday to Thursdays on E4.
