Laidback Luke & Raphi Rule Dance/Mix Show Airplay Chart With ‘If There Is Love’

DJ/producer Laidback Luke and singer-songwriter Raphi roll to No. 1 on Billboard’s Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart (dated Sept. 25) with “If There Is Love,” the first leader on the list for each act.
“Love” is landing core-dance attention at outlets including KMVQ-HD2 San Francisco, MusicChoice’s Dance/EDM channel and SiriusXM’s BPM, according to MRC Data. (The Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart measures radio airplay on a select group of full-time dance stations, along with plays during mix shows on nearly 80 top 40-formatted reporters.)
Raphi’s inaugural Billboard chart entry, “Love” is Luke’s third title to hit Dance/Mix Show Airplay, after “Step by Step,” with Gregor Salto and featuring Mavis Acquah (No. 13, 2010) and “Let It Go,” featuring Trevor Guthrie (No. 40, 2016).
‘OUT’ IN TOP 10: Continuing on Dance/Mix Show Airplay, Joel Corry collects his fifth top 10, Jax Jones adds his seventh, Charli XCX exacts her fourth and Saweetie tallies her first with “Out Out” (19-10). For Corry, the track follows two toppers: “Bed,” with RAYE and David Guetta (three weeks on top this April-May), and “Head & Heart,” with MNEK (nine weeks, August-October 2020). “Out” also rises 13-11 on the multi-metric Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, as it also drew 1.4 million U.S. streams in the tracking week ending Sept. 16.
THEIR SONG: Further on Dance/Mix Show Airplay, Elton John and Dua Lipa debut at No. 38 with “Cold Heart (PNAU Remix).” It’s another feather in legend John’s cap, earning him his inaugural appearance on the chart, which began in 2003. “Heart” is Lipa’s 11th entry, a tally that includes three leaders: “New Rules” (four weeks, 2018), “One Kiss,” with Calvin Harris (10 weeks, 2018), and “Don’t Start Now” (16 weeks, 2019-20).

Elsewhere, “Heart” notches its fifth frame at No. 1 on Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales, selling 6,200 downloads. Also with 6.7 million in all-format radio audience (up 7%) and 3.7 million streams (up 29%), it holds at its No. 3 high on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs.
“Heart” additionally becomes John’s record-extending 40th top 10 on the Adult Contemporary chart and re-enters the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 98, having become John’s first Hot 100 hit since 2000.
The song ushers in John’s collaborative album The Lockdown Sessions, due Oct. 22.
