William deVry Fires Back at Website Calling Him a “GH Hater”

You can’t believe everything you read on the internet, particularly one website that blasted GENERAL HOSPITAL alum William deVry (Julian) for being disgruntled and called him a “social media troll!” This particular website — which we will not name or link to — wrote a story about a tweet the actor had written saying that he’d watched GH on Sept. 7 and nothing happened. In a follow-up tweet, deVry responded to fans by explaining he was expecting the big Sonny reveal. “Well directed show, though,” he added. “I tuned in!”

While some fans accused deVry of sounding like “sour grapes,” many others came to his defense. But when this one website called him a “GH hater,” he had to fire back. “Damn,” he tweeted. “She unhappy over at the blog! No jokes allowed. No joking with the fans. I was expecting Carly/Jason wedding. It didn’t happen. It was a joke! So I said nothing happened!

“Funny thing is, I still love my GH family,” deVry followed up. “Still talk to many of them. I miss everyone and wish them the best. I want their jobs to be secure. High ratings. I still talk to Frank [Valentini, the executive producer]. All is well.”

And it wasn’t just fans who were coming to his defense. Former co-star Jon Lindstrom (Kevin/Ryan) also stepped up. “We gotcha, Will,” he replied. “You’re all good with us.”

From his 2003-04 run as the evil Michael Cambias on ALL MY CHILDREN to his 2006-08 stint as Storm Logan on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL, right up to his 8-year run as fan-favorite Julian Jerome on GH, the actor knows how passionate soap fans can be, but has always supported the soaps and kept a sense of humor about everything.
