Marian Marie Jeansonne, 86, Plaucheville native

Marian Marie Jeansonne, 86, passed away on September 18, 2021 in Katy, Texas. Marian was born February 18, 1935 to Hester and Lou Lacour, in Plaucheville, Louisiana. Marian is survived by her daughter, Joan Hebert; son Thomas Jeansonne and his spouse; daughter Barbara Caligari and her spouse; daughter Aureline (Ory) Roberts and her spouse; son Lloyd Jeansonne, Jr. and his spouse; grandchildren, Ashley Jeansonne-Schoonover, Evie Guillaume, Bradley Hebert, Emmy Lou Roberts, Penny Martinez, Scott Jeansonne, Sherry Jeansonne Grace, Jamie Williams, Jenna Tilbury, and great-grandchildren Chloe, Kayliana, and Charles, Jr. Schoonover, Carson, Kayley and Cooper Jeansonne, Lucas, Abby, and Ava Guillaume, Julie, Jordan, Jett and Jax Lloyd Williams, Caroline Grace and Josephine Martinez. Marian was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lloyd E. Jeansonne, Sr., parents and a brother, Michael Lacour. After raising five children to adulthood, Marian proudly worked for Popeye's Chicken in Metairie, La. for over 20 years. She won a baking contest as a teenager and she went on later in life to create the original biscuit recipe for Popeyes Chicken. Every Christmas she would make her famous "Fudge" for friends and family. She met her handsome husband to be, Lloyd Jeansonne, Sr, in high school and they married in 1952 in Plaucheville, Louisiana. Her prior residence was in Kenner, La. where she volunteered her time helping friends and neighbors. She most recently lived at Caydance Assisted Living in Katy, Texas to be near her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her activities included bingo, quilt making, and exercise. She loved Mardi Gras and supported a "Caydance parade" for several years. Marian - A wife and mother with silver in her hair and gold in her heart. There will never be another one to replace you in our hearts and the love we will always have for you. Give Lloyd a big hug for us all as you meet up with him in Heaven. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Catholic Liturgy Service on September 27 beginning at 11 am at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans. Visitation will be between 9 am and 10:45 am with interment to follow in Metairie Cemetery at 11:45 am.
