Vancouver police arrested two teenage boys Wednesday in connection with purse snatchings at a coffee shop at The Waterfront Vancouver over the past week.
Officers responded at 12:19 p.m. to the 1300 block of Southeast Columbia River Drive for a report that a male had grabbed a purse from a chair and got into a car that drove off, according to a department news release.
Police said the victim’s description of the purse snatcher matched the suspect in other thefts that have occurred over the last few weeks in west Vancouver.
Officers spotted the suspects’ car at East Mill Plain Boulevard and C Street and stopped it. It was occupied by four 14-year-olds — three boys and one girl, police said.
