Chick-fil-A has a thing for not just testing out new menu items in select markets, but actually filling us in so we can anticipate a (hopefully) nationwide release. That’s what happened this past summer with the Butterscotch Crumb Milkshake, and now there’s another frozen treat in the works. This one, however, is everything we could want for the fall season.

The Autumn Spice Milkshake is handspun the old-fashioned way with Chick-fil-A’s Icedream (vanilla soft-serve), cinnamon, cardamom, orange, and crunchy bits of speculoos cookies, which are spiced gingerbread shortcrust cookies. It’s topped with whipped cream and a cherry, except when served through delivery.

Since the Autumn Spice Milkshake is in the testing phase, you probably won’t be able to find it near you — that is, unless you’re located in Salt Lake City, Utah. According to the fast food spot, the city is known for falling in love with Chick-fil-A’s milkshakes and drinks the most milkshakes nationwide. Although we’re jealous it’s not near us, it looks like the new milkshake is in good hands with Salt Lake City sippers.

“We’re excited to offer guests more menu variety this year, and that includes testing out new fall flavors like the Autumn Spice Milkshake,” Beth Hefner, from the Chick-fil-A Menu Development Team, said in a press release. “Our guests look forward to our seasonal milkshakes every year, and we’re excited to put Salt Lake City’s tastebuds to the test with this delicious blend of rich, autumn-inspired flavors.”

As much as we love warm treats during the cooler months, Chick-fil-A is delivering a fall-approved frozen treat (even if only for some us!).
