WWE star Nia Jax requires surgery after suffering gruesome elbow injury on Raw and faces months out
WWE superstar Nia Jax will be sidelined indefinitely after suffering a devastating elbow injury.
Vince McMahon's promotion claims Jax got hurt during her bout with former tag team partner Shayna Baszler last Monday on RAW.
Baszler defeated The Irresistible Force and launched a brutal attack after the bell that saw the former UFC star stomping on her fallen opponent's arm and elbow against the steel steps.
The former RAW Women's Champion wailed in pain as she got treated by a medical team at ringside.
An announcement was made on Wednesday's episode of The Bump which stated that the 37-year-old grappler suffered an elbow posterior fracture and dislocation.
Jax will require surgery and will be out of in-ring competition for an indefinite amount of time.
The former NXT star joined the main roster in 2016 and has since been booked as a dominant heavyweight of the women's division.
Her career reached an all-time high when she won the RAW Women's Championship at WrestleMania 34 from Alexa Bliss.

Jax was recently paired up with Baszler and the violent duo went on to win the WWE Women's Tag Team titles twice.
However, the pair lost the belts in May to Natalya and Tamina and their relationship quickly turned sour.
Baszler cost Jax a women's title match against Charlotte Flair and that set up Monday's encounter.
The Queen of Spades defeated her former partner by making her pass out to the Kirifuda Clutch.
