Which Dodgers are leaving this year?

The season isn’t over, but it’s about the time we start talking about where all of our favorite players might be next year. Corey Seager, Chris Taylor, Max Scherzer, Kenley Jansen, and Albert Pujols are among those that may not be in Dodgers uniforms next year. Heck, I think our only guarantee is Mookie Betts.

J.P. Hoornstra at the O.C. Register has thoughts on what will happen with Corey Seager who is probably the biggest question mark outside of Kenley Jansen right now. Outside of some defensive fumbles earlier in the season, Seager has been the reliable top of the order shortstop we all know and love. His broken finger injury mid-season cooled some of the mind-boggling contract size conversations about him, but Seager’s quality at-bats on top of his 2020 MVP awards will be enough to heat up those conversations again pretty shortly.

Chris Taylor may be headed elsewhere as well — though I have a harder time believing this one. They wouldn’t let Kiké go and CT3 the next year, would they? If you missed Hoornstra’s musings on that, check that one out, too. Jeff Passan over at ESPN also wrote about Taylor and the possibility that the Dodgers already tried to lock him in.

And speaking of free agents, Max Scherzer seems to be making the case that he should stay in a Dodger uniform. Why has he gotten better? Mike Petriello at MLB.com has some thoughts: How Max Scherzer is outdoing even himself in L.A.

And, exciting news… Dodgers postseason tickets go on sale today at 10 a.m.!

The Los Angeles Dodgers today announced that Postseason tickets for potential home games for the National League Wild Card, Division Series and Championship Series at Dodger Stadium will go on-sale tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. at Dodgers.com/Postseason. Fans are also encouraged to check the Postseason ticket inventory available on the Dodgers’ trusted secondary market partner, StubHub.

The Dodgers will play Postseason baseball for the ninth consecutive year, having clinched at least a Wild Card berth, and are just 1.0 game behind the San Francisco Giants in the NL West division race with 11 games remaining in the regular season. Tickets also remain available at Dodgers.com/tickets for the Dodgers’ final homestand of the regular season, Sept. 28 through Oct. 3 with games against the Padres and Brewers.

In accordance with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Order, effective October 7, 2021, all guests ages 12 and over will be required to show proof at stadium entry gates, prior to entry, of either (A) full vaccination against COVID-19 (i.e., at least 14 days have passed since they have received their second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, or their single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine) or (B) a negative COVID-19 viral test (both PCR and antigen tests will be accepted) taken within 72 hours before the start time of the event. More information on entry procedures will be announced at a later date.
