Kim Kardashian will be hosting Saturday Night Live this October. The reality star-turned-entrepreneur has recently wowed with her surprising Met Gala look, and now will be heading onto the small screen.

Kardashian is a hugely popular figure after 20 seasons with her family on E! reality series Keeping Up With the Kardashians, from which she built an empire.

That empire includes Skims, her clothing brand; KKW Beauty, a cosmetics company; and Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, a cellphone game, as well as many endorsements.

She has taken small acting roles before her SNL show, including in her husband Kanye West's now-famous "Bound 2" music video, but this will be a new attempt at sketch comedy, supported by the SNL players.

When Does Kim Kardashian Host Saturday Night Live?

Kim Kardashian, who is credited as Kim Kardashian West for the show, will be hosting SNL on October 9.

Alongside her will be musical guest Halsey, who will perform at various points in the show.

Kardashian will likely take part in sketches along with the cast in the second episode of the 47th season of the show.

The new season will kick off on October 2 with Owen Wilson as host, who recently gained further recognition for his role in Disney+ series Loki.

He will be joined by Kacey Musgraves as the musical guest.

On October 16, Rami Malek will host with Young Thug as the musical guest, and on October 23 Jason Sudeikis will host with Brandi Carlile as the musical guest.

There are currently 19 repertory and featured players in the SNL cast, along with announcer Darrell Hammond.

Kim Kardashian's episode of SNL, along with the opening episodes of the 47th season of the show, airs on October 9 on NBC.
