The second installment of Marion County Property Taxes is due on Thursday to avoid interest and penalties.
Payments can be made at the Treasurer’s office at the courthouse from eight to four Wednesday and Thursday. After-hours payments may be made in the dropbox on the west end of the courthouse.
Payments can also be made through Thursday at most Marion County banks and credit unions or online at ILmarion.com.
You can also mail payments, but they must have a Thursday postmark to be considered on time.
Marion County Treasurer Gary Purcell says payments appear to be coming in at the normal pace.
