The Dalton Police Department wants the public's help after a group of three people have used counterfeit money to make purchases in at least three Dalton stores recently.
This happened back in August.
The trio, a man and two women, arrived at the Dollar General store at 1004 Riverburch Parkway within a few minutes of each other.
Police say the man first used a fake $50 bill to buy some items and get change.
After he left, one of the women suspects, who was wearing a light blue/gray cap and a red shirt, used a fake $100 bill to buy something and get change.
After the woman suspect left, the second woman suspect, who was wearing a hat with the New York Yankees logo, used two fake $50 bills to buy some merchandise.
Dalton Police say the group continued this pattern at other stores.
After the three suspects left the store, they showed up together at two other Dollar General locations along Cleveland Highway in Whitfield County where they passed more fake bills and also returned some of the items they bought at the Riverburch Parkway location for refunds.
Police did not have any information about a suspect vehicle.
The man is thought to be in his twenties and around six feet tall with a slim build.
Both female suspects also appear to be in their twenties and are shorter in stature.
Anyone with information about these people is asked to contact Detective John Edwards at 706-278-9085, extension 9-152.
