More than 6,000 daily COVID-19 cases reported, 130 additional deaths in NC

RALEIGH, Wake County —
More than 6,000 new cases of coronavirus were reported on Wednesday and state health officials said there have been 130 additional deaths attributed to the virus.

The numbers from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services show 6,288 additional cases and the daily percentage of positive tests was at 11.4 percent.
State health officials reported 3,400 people hospitalized for treatment of COVID-19, 900 in the ICU, and 19 percent of adults in the hospital for treatment of coronavirus are on a ventilator.
There have been 15,941 deaths since the pandemic began, 130 in the past 24-hours.

The metrics show 68 percent of adults in North Carolina have had at least one shot and 63 percent are fully vaccinated.
