Amazon starting holiday sales in October with a mega shopping event, report says

Prime Day is long over and Black Friday is still a couple months away, but Amazon has another mega sales event on the calendar.

The online retail giant plans to hold a beauty shopping event in October in an attempt to boost holiday sales, according to a report by CNBC.

The three-week long “Holiday Beauty Haul” is expected to be held Oct. 4-25 and will include fragrance, men’s grooming and winter skin care deals, to name a few, the report said.

It’s no surprise Amazon wants to promote holiday shopping early.

Major toy brands, including Hasbro, Mattel and MGA Entertainment, are warning parents to get holiday shopping done early due to a global shipping crisis and labor shortages, which is worrying retailers and companies. The issue could easily trickle down into other retail sectors.

To get a head start, Amazon already has numerous deals on beauty products, including premium brands. There’s also a section dedicated to customers’ “Most Wished For.”
