The NHL has found no evidence that Kane gambled on NHL games or intentionally performed negatively to contribute to their outcomes, Sportsnet's Chris Johnston reports. However, he's under a different investigation by the league for a separate incident.
An earlier report indicated that Kane's estranged wife has filed a restraining order against him for alleged domestic violence and sexual assault. It's essentially out of the fire and into the frying pan for the veteran winger, and it's to be determined how the league will handle his current situation while the case is ongoing and after it concludes.
