The Kmart at the Crossroads Shopping Center in Tarrytown, the chain's last location in Westchester County, is set to close.
Bargain hunters can get items from 10 to 70% off.
“This is one of the best stores that we have in the neighborhood,” says Ronnie Washington. “It was this and Walmart.”
Washington has been shopping at Kmart for 14 years.
“Walmart is gone. Now this is gone,” says Washington.
Since the start of the pandemic, the Crossroads Shopping Center has lost several businesses.
Pier 1 Imports, a Chinese buffet, a Kirkland store and Weight Watchers studio are all gone.
It’s not known what will take Kmart’s place. People in the area have opinions on what they'd like to see, from a clothing store to a movie theater.
