Yet another high-performance EV, from a startup manufacturer is coming out. It seems Elektron wants to give us a new EV hypercar every year. In 2020, they showed us their Elektron One – an all-wheel-drive EV with 1,341 horsepower. One year later in 2021 – they announced a new project – the four-motor, 2,300-horsepower Elektron Quasar. Now, Elektron Innovativ is showing us their latest project – the Elektron Truva, which will be built in Italy’s motor valley, alongside brands like Ferrari and Pagani...

Elektron doesn’t yet have an existing lineup, as all their current models exist only in renderings. The Elektron One was supposed to debut at the 2021 Geneva Motor Show, which was canceled due to COVID. Regardless, the Truva is supposed to sit at the middle of Elektron’s model lineup, between the less powerful One and the much more powerful Quasar.

Like the other two models, the Truva will be fully electric and will feature an all-wheel drive. However, unlike the Quasar, which has four electric motors (one for each wheel), the Truva will have three – one at the front axle and two at the rear. The total system output is 1,400 horsepower. No official performance figures have been claimed by the company, at this point.

We know that the car will be underpinned by an innovative composite chassis and will feature pushrod suspension. The system will be powered by a 100 kWh battery, which under normal driving conditions should be good for at least 350 miles.

In terms of styling, it seems Elektron’s models are heavily influenced by existing models. In the case of the Truva, we see a lot of Lamborghini Sian, McLaren 570, Acura NSX, and even Lotus Evija elements, neatly combined in a cohesive package.

In terms of pricing, Elektron says the Truva will start at around $710,000. According to the company, a convertible version of the EV hypercar is also being considered. The Elektron Truva is said to debut sometime in 2023, some six months after the Elektron Quasar. There’s still a lot we don’t know about the Elektron lineup and even their website doesn’t provide much information. We’ll have to wait until 2023 to see if they become a reality.
