WESTFIELD — The Colts added veteran quarterback Brett Hundley on July 31. Hundley previously played for the Packers, Seahawks and Cardinals.

Indianapolis began the process of signing the 28-year-old Hundley in late July before quarterback Carson Wentz suffered his first foot injury -- a piece of bone broke loose in his foot and had to be removed -- on July 29 that would eventually cause him to miss five weeks.
None of the other three quarterbacks on the Indianapolis roster at the time — Jacob Eason, Sam Ehlinger and Jalen Morton — had taken a snap in an NFL game, even in the preseason.
