Sub Shop poll results
In our weekly reader poll, Firehouse Subs was voted the favorite of Maricopa residents with 32% of the vote, followed closely by Jersey Mike's and the soon-to-arrive Jimmy John's. at 29% each. Subway tallied 10% of the vote. [Ian Roberds graphic]

Maricopans love their sub sandwiches. And like any food question it all comes down to personal taste – although we’re sure service, price and location have something to do with these results.

Judging by the responses to last week’s poll question, they like three of them just about equally. In response to last week’s question: “Once Jimmy John’s opens at the Sonoran Creek Marketplace, Maricopa will have four sub sandwich shops. Which one is your favorite?” three sub shops clearly rose to the top.

Firehouse Subs was the narrow winner, garnering 88 votes (32.1%) to 80 each (29.2%) for Jersey Mike’s and Jimmy John’s. Subway was fourth with 26 votes (9.5%).

Time will tell if Jimmy John’s strong showing is due to it being the newest name on the list. Be sure to cast your vote on this week’s poll question, “Will you be attending the upcoming Salsa Night Market at Copper Sky?”
