United Rentals Highlights Equipment, Digital and Excavation Safety Solutions at Utility Expo

The company will also unveil the "Truck of the Future" as a new way to keep track of trucks, people and tools.

United Rentals will demonstrate utility equipment, digital, and excavation safety solutions at the Utility Expo (booths E1063 and K287) from September 28 to 30 in Louisville, Kentucky.  The company will showcase its safety, technology and utility industry capabilities at the largest event for utility professionals and construction contractors.

United Rentals also plans to introduce the Truck of the Future, a fleet of utility trucks with a built-in tool tracking system that  makes it easy to keep track of trucks, people and tools. The trucks are preloaded with tools that have permanent asset tags and integrated with the company's cloud-based equipment management solution Total Control to provide visibility into all the tools located on a jobsite.

In addition, United Rentals teams will do a series of in-booth educational sessions and equipment demonstration, and even perform multiple in-ground excavations featuring the company’s Mega Brace hydraulic bracing system.

United Rentals Equipment 4Solutions showcased at Utility Expo will include Total Control, which is designed to help utilities and contractors make the most of their equipment fleet by acting as a single portal everyone in the enterprise can use to find out what they need to know about equipment on rent, in the context in which they need it.

Also featured will be trench and confined space safety solutions. United Rentals Trench Safety has more than 92 trench safety locations and the largest fleet of excavation and confined space rental equipment in North America. Its services help companies in pre-bid analysis on protective system solutions, on-site consultation and engineering designs that can be applied successfully on a project.
