Tom Bergeron is teasing more details about his highly anticipated return to TV.

Since his unexpected departure from Dancing With the Stars last summer, folks have been asking nonstop when the former longtime ABC host will be back on the small screen. After months of wondering, Tom is slowly revealing information here and there about his next project, which seems to involve an appearance on a new sitcom at NBC. But when he opened up to Full House star Bob Saget on the podcast Bob Saget’s Here For You, Tom also seemingly gushed about another project in the works.

“I won’t give you the name of it. It’s a game show and it is very reminiscent of something I’ve done in the past in some aspects,” he said in the episode. “We’re waiting to hear if it’s picked up. We’re hearing, as one does in Hollywood sometimes, there is ‘great buzz.’ But I’m a New Englander, it’s not real until it’s real.”

Tom added that former executive producer of Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune Harry Friedman convinced him to get on board.

“At this particular point in my career, I’m just looking to have a good time. I don’t really need to host anything anymore. The only reason I agreed to this particular project that we did the pilot for was who came and asked me if I’d be interested,” Tom said. “When Harry Friedman shows up, who’s the Obi-Wan Kenobi of that genre, and he’s excited about it, that was a pretty persuasive argument and we had a ball, we really did. So I’m hoping it gets picked up.”

These hints from Tom were enough to get fans excited in the best way. Many are eager to find out exactly what their favorite TV host is cooking up.

“Good. We need more Tom Bergeron on TV. Looking forward to it,” another added. “Great news!! Can’t wait to see whatever it is, I know it will get picked up!” a different fan said. “Well Tom I'm happy for [you] no matter what show [you’re] on. But as far as dancing with the stars goes [you] can't blame people for missing [you] because when it comes to hosting [you’re] the best and the funniest ever. Good luck with the new show,” a follower commented.

But that's not all. As previously mentioned, Tom is set to make a cameo on “another NBC show.” On September 14, Tom tweeted, "Just back from shooting a guest spot on a (yet to premiere) @NBCUniversal sitcom. Fun playing with a talented cast, although it’s the most time I’ve spent in long pants in eighteen months. 😏.”

Hope you don’t leave us hanging for too much longer, Tom!
