MURRELLS INLET, S.C. (WBTW) — Emergency crews responded to a crash with multiple injuries on Highway 17 south of Murrells Inlet on Wednesday afternoon, according to Midway Fire Rescue.
Rescue crews took four people in “serious condition” to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, according to MFR. The scene involved a “complex extrication process.”
Officials said the crash involved an 18-wheeler versus a car with extensive damage.
The Murrells Inlet-Garden City Fire District also responded to the scene.
