Samsung Galaxy S22 Lineup Could Be Available in Five Colors

The Samsung Galaxy S22 is still some distance away from a formal unveiling. However, the phone has made frequent appearances in multiple leaks over the past several weeks. Today, a report offers some new information about the color variants of the new flagship series.

As per GalaxyClub’s report, the Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S22+ will be launched in four colors, including black, pink gold, white, and green. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will launch in dark red, white, and black versions.

Samsung could offer the Galaxy S22 in more colors after its launch

We must note that Samsung could introduce additional colors of the Galaxy S22 after it reaches the shelves. The company has previously upgraded the lineup with limited edition colors and designer collaborations.

The Galaxy S22 has already generated quite a bit of excitement among fans. If rumors are anything to go by, the standard Galaxy S22 will offer a smaller 6-inch Super AMOLED display.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will likely retain the 6.8-inch screen from the predecessor, while the Galaxy S22+ may offer a 6.7-inch screen. All three models should offer a healthy refresh rate of 120Hz.

We also received some information on the cameras of the Galaxy S22 series. The Galaxy S22 Ultra could offer a 108MP quad-camera layout similar to the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The Galaxy S22+ and the Galaxy S22 will reportedly utilize a 50MP triple-camera layout on the back.

The processor on the Galaxy S22 has also generated some buzz. Samsung is expected to use AMD’s RDNA 2 GPU with the new Exynos 2200 chip. Much like in the years past, the company will likely limit this variant to some markets. The rest of the world, including the U.S., will probably get Galaxy S22 variants with the octa-core Snapdragon 898 chipset.

All models should offer in-display fingerprint scanners. Leaks also claim that the Galaxy S22 Ultra will sport a 5,000mAh battery, whereas the Galaxy S22+ and the Galaxy S22 will offer 4,500mAh and 3,700mAh batteries, respectively. All variants should offer support for 45W fast wired charging by default.

The phone will also bring Samsung’s One UI 4.0 built on top of Android 12. The beta version of One UI 4.0 has taken some time to roll out, so we have some distance to go before knowing what it brings to the table.
