Emmerdale spoilers ahead
Harriet Finch could be switching from one side of the law to the other thanks to a chat with PC Mike Swirling.
In Emmerdale scenes airing on Thursday, September 30 at 8pm and Friday, October 1 at 7pm, the current St Mary's Church vicar ponders rejoining the police force upon learning that the local establishment is on the lookout for new recruits.
She of course used to carry a badge before donning the clergy garb.

Later on, Harriet admits to Dawn Taylor that she's been feeling a lack of purpose following the murder of DI Malone, but is this a good time to make such a drastic career change whilst there's renewed heat on the unsolved case?
Yesterday's (September 21) episode of the ITV soap was certainly a pulse-raiser, as Harriet and Dawn's co-conspirator Will Taylor was forced to think on his feet when Kim Tate pitched a survival event situated dangerously close to where Malone's remains are buried.
His insistence on relocating it clearly intrigued Kim, but will she investigate further?

In other Emmerdale news, David Metcalfe star Matthew Wolfenden recently teased four huge stunts for viewers to watch out for.
"Two of them in particular have never ever been done before on a soap, so it's been a massive block for us. I'm covered in bruises and cuts, and it's been fantastic," he shared.
His character took a bullet for Victoria Sugden earlier this month, but that was just the tip of the iceberg by the sounds of it.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
