Man dies after being partially ejected from logging truck
A man driving a logging truck died after being partially ejected when the truck rolled in northern Minnesota on Tuesday.
According to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, Wayne Robbins, 60, of Chisholm, was driving the fully loaded logging truck westbound on Townline Road at the intersection of Long Lake Road in Makinen at about 6:18 p.m.
"Robbins failed to negotiate a sweeping left-hand curve in the roadway," the sheriff's office said. "The semi-truck entered the west ditch and overturned. Robbins was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident and was partially ejected from the vehicle."
Robbins was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is still being investigated.
