Oregon City Brewing Will Open a New Location in Canby
Oregon City Brewing is opening a massive new taproom in the former Canby Public Library. The Canby Beer Library, as it’ll be called, will offer more than 40 beers, with a barrel-aging program, new ciders, a rooftop patio, and a food hall filled with micro-restaurants. Oregon City Brewing was recently listed among the country’s top ten breweries, according to the U.S. Open Beer Championship. [NSB]
Caspian Kabob Will Open a Restaurant in Beaverton
The former food cart Caspian Kabob closed in 2019, but it was never meant to be forever; Caspian Kabob owners Victor and Tracy Darchini intended to open a restaurant in the future. Soon, they will: the two are currently working on opening a new Persian restaurant in Beaverton, with dishes like sabzi gormeh, saffron rice, and — of course — kebab. A Popular Portland Restaurant Distributor Now Has a Shop Open to the Public
Classic Foods, a longtime Portland restaurant distributor, just opened its own market in Northeast Portland. Classic Foods makes proprietary spice blends for brands like McMenamins and sausages for places like New Seasons, and now, at its outlet store, Portlanders can buy its fresh pastas, heat-and-serve meals, pantry basics, and specialty cheeses.
