PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. (WPDE) —

A South Carolina Highway Patrol Officer and first responders from Midway Fire Rescue in Pawleys Island will be recognized for their life-saving action when they performed heroic acts by saving a man and his dog when his car ended up in a pond.

A ceremony will take place with Fire Chief Doug Eggiman and Midway Fire Rescue at 3 p.m. at Fire Station 81 in Pawleys Island.
