Herkimer County man arrested for deadly stabbings of dad, 12-year-old sister

JORDANVILLE, N.Y. —
A 22-year-old Jordanville man is charged with murdering his father and 12-year-old sister, who were found stabbed to death in their home Sunday evening.

State Police arrived at the family's home, located at 1402 State Route 167, around 7 p.m. Sunday. They found 67-year-old Michael J. Andreev Sr. and 12-year-old Sofia Trusova dead at the scene.
Michael J. Andreev Jr., 22, was in the front yard with a laceration to his neck, troopers said. He was airlifted to Upstate Hospital in Syracuse, where he had surgery. Andreev was arrested after his discharge from the hospital.
Andreev is charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon. He is being held at the Herkimer County Correctional Facility.
