1. Tickets Still Available for New York State Craft Brewer’s Festival

Limited tickets are still available for the New York State Craft Brewers Festival at Canalside on September 25 (2-6pm). For $55 ($65 day of), you will receive a 7oz. tasting glass, unlimited 3oz. beer samples and the opportunity to meet the brewers. Designated Driver tickets are also available ($15). More than 45 NYS breweries will be on hand, as well as food trucks, vendors and a farm-to-table tent.

2. Magic Bear Beer Cellar Coming to Larkinville

Magic Bear Beer Cellar, a craft beer bottle shop and tasting bar in the Larkin District, is looking to open later this year. The beer cellar seeks to promote the elevation and education of beer and will offer a curated selection of beverages to enjoy at the store or to take to-go. Owner Craig Altobello will also be hosting classes and events including beer tastings, pairings and opportunities to meet brewers. 3. Southern Tier Buffalo to Open September 28

Southern Tier Brewing Buffalo, located inside the former 716 Food and Sport in Canalside, will open on September 28 (3pm) with a complete lineup of beer, seltzers, spirits and cocktails, including draft and whiskeys specific to the location, along with beer and cider from Victory, Sixpoint and Bold Rock. For food, they will have wings, beef on weck, crispy cauliflower, carnitas, steak frites and more. They will also have beer and spirits to go. For more information, visit facebook.com/stbcbeerBUF.

4. SATO Brewpub Celebrates Their Fourth Anniversary

SATO Brewpub will celebrate their fourth anniversary on September 28 with a party featuring their first-ever can release, live music, new beer releases, giveaways, a special brewer hangout and gift card raffle. The party gets underway at 5pm.

5. Adam Mickiewicz Library to Host East Side Brewers Tap Takeover

Buffalo Brewing Company, Community Beer Works and Big Ditch Brewing Company will take over the taps at the Adam Mickiewicz Library on September 24 (5pm). Polish Villa Food Truck will be available from 5-7pm and live music will be provided by Mike Casinelli. This will be an indoor/ outdoor event. Purchase tickets at givebutter.com/ebbtaptakeover. You must be 21 years of age or older to purchase.

6. Big Ditch Set to Host First Ever Beerie County Fair 

As part of WNY Brewery Week, Big Ditch Brewing will host The Beerie County Fair on September 27, a night of beer, games, and fun. Beers include Big Ditch Karny Kool Aid (Blue Raspberry Kool-Aid Cotton Candy Sour), CBW Foeder Wit (Belgian Wheat Beer), OFW Brewing H.O. Oats Oatmeal Stout, Pressure Drop Dank Sinatra NEIPA, Resurgence DDH The Surge NEIPA, Sato Brewpub Yuzu Samurai (Belgian IPA with Yuzu) and Thin Man Tre Luppolo Italian Pilsner. Flights will be available. The purchase of a flight will get you tickets to play all the games. Your purchase of a ticket will get you a beer, plus a chance to play a carnival game being ran by the brewer/rep/owner from that brewery.
