Gloria Amoury, 100, a Staten Island native who was a writer by profession, and published short stories in a number of anthologies and in such national publications like “Redbook” and the “Saturday Evening Post,” died Sept. 13, 2021.
Dorothy Z. (nee Zarek) Joggerst, 89, who lived on Staten Island for many years, and was the mother of five children and grandmother to 13, died Sept. 19, 2021.
Lawrence J. Reilly, 72, a fun-loving legend in the FDNY, who served at Ladder 43 and Engine 53 for 25 years and received many awards for bravery, including the Commissioner Edward Thompson Medal of Valor in 1990, died Sept. 20, 2021.
Barbara A. Toledo, a registered nurse who spent a lifetime helping others at various nursing facilities in NYC and retired as relief supervisor at Eger Nursing Home, died Sept. 20, 2021.
