Oklahoma City scored all three of their runs in the eighth inning to come from behind and beat Round Rock (Rangers) 3-1 in the regular season finale Tuesday. The Dodgers finish 61-58 before starting the Final Stretch on Thursday.

Down 1-0 to start the eighth, Oklahoma City strung together three straight one-out hits to finally get themselves off the mat. Four of the five total hits in the game for the Dodgers came in the eighth.

Sheldon Neuse led off the inning with a triple and scored one pitch later on a Zach McKinstry single to tie the game at one apiece. Matt Davidson followed with a single of his own to put the winning run in scoring position.

After a Zach Reks strikeout on three pitches, Cristian Santana blistered a double to left to bring McKinstry around with the lead. Davidson brought the insurance run in on the next play, an error allowing Anthony Bemboom to reach.

The only run Round Rock pushed across came in the fifth when they followed a one out single with three straight walks.

Luke Raley was recalled by the Los Angeles Dodgers in place of Cody Bellinger who was placed on the injured list with a fractured left rib.

What’s next

All 30 Triple-A teams will play five road games and five away games during the Triple-A Final Stretch. The 10 games are a new postseason tournament format based on postponed games earlier in the season.

A champion was named for both the Triple-A West (Tacoma) and Triple-A East (Durham) leagues for the 2021 regular season based on overall winning percentage through the originally scheduled 120-game championship season.

A single 2021 Triple-A Final Stretch Winner will be crowned based on the highest overall winning percentage among all 30 teams during the final 10 games. During the Final Stretch, the OKC Dodgers are set to play five games in Las Vegas starting Thursday and will then host El Paso for five games Sept. 29-Oct. 3 to wrap up the season at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
