SALINE COUNTY— A Missouri man died in an accident just after 1a.m. Wednesday in Saline County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Freightliner semi driven by Christopher D. Johnson, 37, Dandridge, TN, was eastbound on Interstate 70 just west of Sweet Springs.
The semi struck a pedestrian identified as Jamie L. Barnett, 61, Raytown, who was in the roadway. She was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to the county medical examiner's office. Johnson was not injured and properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
