PHOENIX — The Immersive Van Gogh Exhibition in Scottsdale is now allowing people to experience the artist’s creations while taking part in a yoga workout.
Classes will be held Thursday-Sunday mornings from Sept. 30 to Nov. 21 inside the exhibit at 4301 N. Scottsdale Road and are open to people of all fitness levels, according to the official website.
The class costs $54.99 per person and a certified yoga instructor will conduct the 35-minute session, with people being allowed to stick around for 25 minutes after to enjoy the exhibit.
Workouts during the session will be choreographed to harmonize with Van Gogh’s vast catalog of artwork, according to the website, including the music, sounds, lights and moving images of the exhibit.
Participants will also receive a kefir sample from Lifeway Kefir.
Those who take part in the yoga session must bring their own mat and are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing as there are no changing facilities at the exhibit.
People also have to abide by the exhibit’s COVID-19 protocols, including a face mask requirement for everyone regardless of vaccination status.
The Scottsdale exhibit debuted in late August and is set to run through Nov. 28.
It features 500,000 cubic feet projections that animate Vincent van Gogh’s work, ranging from his sunny landscapes and night scenes to portraits and still life paintings.
