The free PlayStation Plus games for September 2021 have been available for a couple of weeks, and it's fair to say not everybody has been super into the latest offerings.
I should say that this most recent batch of PS Plus freebies is the strongest we've had in a while. PlayStation 4 users can grab multiplayer shooter Predator: Hunting Grounds ,and Hitman 2, while PlayStation 5 owners can also claim Overcooked! All You Can Eat. That's a solid lineup! Unfortunately, a lot of people have been dumping on one of those free games more than the others.
Over on the PlayStation Plus subreddit there are threads dedicated to positive discussion and criticism of the latest free games. Subscribers have been complaining about Predator: Hunting Grounds on both threads. Yikes.

Fortunately, a new thread has risen in an attempt to promote some kinder talk around the multiplayer shooter. sheriff1337 has submitted a lengthy post defending the much-maligned Predator: Hunting Grounds, urging sceptical subscribers to get over their misgivings and check it out. It is free, after all.
"Yeah its not AAA polished and lacks game modes. But it is fun and feels true to source," sheriff1337 argues. "The maps, even though all of 'em look kinda similar, are great for a Predator game - with lots of foliage. I was able to get matches pretty quickly this weekend.
"I will be playing it on off for couple of weeks until the new PS plus games are out. The game could have been better with more budget - more game modes , PVE, better AI but it's not as bad as everyone claims to be."
sheiff1337's passionate defence might not have won over many people who have already formed an opinion on the game, but it's always great to see that even the most disliked PS Plus offerings have their fans.
