Q. What do you like most about tennis?

Tennis is such a different sport compared to all the others such as football and lacrosse. It’s just you or you and a partner on the court and that’s it. If you’re having a bad day, it’s just you or you and a partner. If you’re having a bad day, you can’t depend on your team winning your match. You need to always be ready to win.

Q. What was your most memorable match?

I would say my 100th win would now be my most memorable match. With a lot of my family there supporting me, the pressure was on for winning. That made me want to win even more. Also, the feeling after winning that match was something I will never forget.

Q. I understand you are the third West Genesee player to reach 100 wins. What does reaching that milestone mean to you?

Reaching that milestone was everything to me. I’ve been hoping to reach that ever since I was in seventh grade on the team. But now that I have reached it, now I want more. I want to break the all-time record for the most amount of wins.

Q. Also, do you know who the other two tennis players to reach this milestone are?

Yes, the first player was Sam Heyn, who reached 100 wins. Following was Mikayla Mannara, who was my doubles partner for three years.
