The name of Randal Kolo Muani remains a striker target for AC Milan and he could arrive on a free transfer, according to a report.

Kolo Muani was linked with Milan during the summer window before the club decided to sign Pietro Pellegri on an initial loan, but Calciomercato.com reports that the Rossoneri management are still keeping tabs on a player labelled the ‘new Kanu’.

Kolo Muani has two goals in five league games this season and the 22-year-old is hoping to follow up a positive 2020-21 campaign, having finished last year with 9 goals and 8 assists in 37 Ligue 1 appearances.

The player chose to stay at Nantes despite the offer of Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer, but he has decided not to renew his contract which will expire next June. Muani is asking for €1m in signing bonuses and a contract worth €1.3m net per year, requests that Nantes are not willing to accept.

This is why there is a strong risk that his deal will expire and he will leave for free, with AC Milan ready to evaluate his potential signing having tracked him for a while.
