Emmerdale spoilers follow from Tuesday night's episode.
Emmerdale has revealed that Cain Dingle is to blame for Charity suffering a life-threatening injury.
Tuesday's hour-long episode (September 21) saw Charity left in terrible danger as she interrupted a robbery at The Woolpack.
After a mystery culprit cut the power supply to the pub, Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) was forced to close up for the day. With nothing else to do, she then spent some quality time away from work with her son Aaron and his sister Liv Flaherty.
While The Woolpack was empty, the secret saboteur returned to steal booze supplies and money from the till.

From outside, Charity (Emma Atkins) spotted evidence of the break-in and called the police. Rather than waiting for them to arrive, she boldly headed inside to investigate and caught the intruder in the act.
As the criminal fled, he accidentally knocked Charity unconscious and she was left for dead.
Later at the hospital, Charity was diagnosed with a bleed on the brain and Chas was devastated to learn that the next 24 hours could be critical.

Back in the village, Aaron headed to see his uncle Cain (Jeff Hordley) at the garage, catching him red-handed with the takings from the robbery.
Cain had earlier encouraged Aaron to head out with Chas for a while, ensuring that the pub would be empty. However, Aaron was kept in the dark about his sinister intentions until after the event.
Defending his actions, Cain insisted that his drastic move would help to solve The Woolpack's current financial crisis.
He told Aaron: "Listen, it's done now, okay? Your mum can claim on the insurance and I can give her that booze back."

However, Aaron revealed that Cain had much bigger issues to worry about, as Charity may not recover from the injury she suffered when she was shoved over.
Cain had some excuses here, too – he'd intended to help Charity, but thought she'd only suffered a minor bump to the head. With the police already arriving outside by the time Charity was injured, he needed to leave quickly.
Aaron added: "It's enough for her to be fighting for her life in hospital. She could die, Cain, so good job. Great plan. You really pulled it off this time, didn't you?"
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
