Luxury Italian company Cipriani signed a lease to open an Argentinian steakhouse where Michael Jordan’s Steak House NYC once sat for 20 years until it closed in 2018, according to the New York Post.

That means the restaurant will be located on the balcony overlooking the terminal’s main concourse.

The old area’s tenant blamed a downturn in business on the homeless problem in the area, the Post reported in 2018.

When the new eatery will open was not immediately clear, nor were the terms of the lease, according to the Post.

Cipriani has been part of Grand Central since 2002, when it brought a
"dramatic design" to the hub and opened Cipriani Dolci.

Grand Central’s tenants have struggled a lot with the decrease in business caused by the pandemic.

The iconic Grand Central Oyster Bar closed for a lengthy amount of time due to struggles with business at the height of the pandemic. It is now only open on weekdays.
