THE SERIES
Boise State leads 20-5. The Broncos have won five straight, including the 2020 conference opener (42-13 in Boise). Boise State is 9-3 all-time in Logan.

THE GAME
The Boise State football team will hit the road for its first Mountain West match-up of the 2021 season, traveling to Logan, Utah, to square off against Utah State at Merlin Olsen Field at Maverik Stadium, Saturday (Sept. 25). The Broncos and Aggies are slated to kick at 10 a.m., and the game will be nationally televised on CBS.

CONFERENCE OPENERS
Boise State has won 21-consecutive conference openers since a loss in 1999, when the Broncos fell 17-10 to North Texas (Oct. 16) as a member of the Big West. The Broncos are 38-13 all-time in conference openers. This is the second-straight season opening MW play with Utah State. The last time the Broncos began conference play with the same opponent in back-to-back seasons was Hawai'i in 2005-06 as a member of the WAC.

BREAKFAST WITH THE BRONCOS
Boise State will kick at 10 a.m. MT for the first time since the Broncos opened the 2019 season against Florida State, Aug. 31. The game against the Seminoles was initially slated for 5 p.m. MT, but was moved as a result of Hurricane Dorian. The Broncos also kicked at 10 a.m. MT to open the 2016 season at Louisiana, at Connecticut in 2014 and at Southern Miss in 2012. The common themes? All in the Central or Eastern Time Zones, and all Bronco victories. This week's game will be the earliest local start time for Boise State since Nov. 13, 2004, when the Broncos traveled to San Jose State for a 9:02 a.m. PT/10:02 a.m. MT kickoff. The Broncos also won that game, 56-49 (OT).

BIG CBS
The Broncos' meeting with the Aggies is the first of two Boise State games slated for broadcast on CBS in 2021 (San Diego State). This week's game will be the first on CBS since the Broncos defeated Fresno State in the 2014 Mountain West Championship (Dec. 6, 2014), and just the second such broadcast in school history.
