Tyrone Taylor activated from the IL for the Milwaukee Brewers, Miguel Sanchez optioned to Nashville

After a month on the injured list, Tyrone Taylor is back for the Milwaukee Brewers. He was activated from the IL earlier today, with Miguel Sanchez being optioned back to Nashville. Taylor has been an excellent bench player and starter for the Brewers this season, posting a .245/.324/.453 batting line and 106 wRC+. He has played in 82 games and started 49, moving between the three outfield spots as needed. Taylor gets the start tonight as both Christian Yelich and Lorenzo Cain get nights off.

Meanwhile, Sanchez is heading back to Nashville. He has been a nice addition to the Brewers bullpen this season, posting a 3.60 ERA and 4.68 FIP in 25 innings over 27 appearances. However, with the Brewers having a very strong bullpen, Sanchez ended up being the odd man out, partially due to having options available. Plus, the Brewers were working with 15 pitchers, so sending a pitcher down make sense, especially with some injuries building in the outfield.

Adam McCalvy also had an additional injury note for tonight. Brett Anderson is set to make his return to the rotation tomorrow, as he will be activated and get the start for the Brewers. Anderson has been out since September 1, when he took a line drive off the shoulder against the Giants.
