According to the Facebook event's page, Sr. Trooper Jason Vice has always been a major part of the run. He'd dress up and scare all the runners.

"We have decided that this year’s run will be in honor of Sr. Trooper Jason Vice. He was always a big part of the run. He would have the best time dressing up and scaring all the runners. He will be greatly missed by all. Be sure to sign up and let’s see how many runners we can get this year!"
