Ady Dwight has been a key part of Dakota Wesleyan's hot start in Great Plains Athletic Conference play and on Tuesday, the conference rewarded her as the league's attacker of the week.

Dwight, a sophomore, from Langford, was instrumental in a sweep of ninth-ranked Northwestern on Sept. 15. Against the Raiders, she hit .500 and piled up 16 kills. On the week she totaled 43 kills, while hitting .429. She also added 10 blocks, as the Tigers swept all three of their opponents, defeating York and Morningside over the weekend as well.

For the season, Dwight — who was the conference's freshman of the year last season — has 195 kills in 47 sets and is hitting .360 for the season. Her rate of 4.15 kills per set ranks at No. 8 nationally in the NAIA, and she ranks in the top-20 nationally in total kills and hitting percentage. Dwight also has 49 total blocks on the season.

DWU (13-1, 3-0 GPAC) is on the road to play Dordt in Sioux Center, Iowa on Wednesday, Sept. 22, followed by a home match with Briar Cliff on Friday, Sept. 24 as the Tigers celebrate Blue and White Days.
