Older white men should not be dictating women’s abortion decisions

I’ve been thinking long and hard about this issue in Texas. I have two granddaughters of childbearing age. I would not wish an abortion on them. However, who am I to tell them -- or women in Texas right now -- what they need to do at this time in their lives?

To these women and others: I am not privy to your responsibilities, your mental health, your financial situation. But I can tell you that old white men in suits are not your friends. Live with your decision, move on and pray for the best.
