SANANTONIO - Rosario's has been named San Antonio’s best Mexican restaurant several times. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy some great food and margaritas.
As you may know, I've been on a Mexican food kick lately so I'm not going to disappoint you. Rosario's is one of my favorites, and now there's two locations. One in Southtown and the other near San Pedro and Loop 410. They've both got a full bar and bar seating.
The thing that I really love about Rosario’s is the salsa. I know everybody has their certain tastes that they love and the certain way they have it. But this salsa, it is tangy, it's sweet, it's roasted, it is so delicious. This salsa has so much flavor and does not have the burn that you get from other types of sauces or pico de gallos. It is really delicious.
My favorite enchiladas on the whole planet is their enchiladas suizas. I think they are so good. They are a chicken enchilada rolled in a corn tortilla and then it is covered with a wine cream sauce. I know it sounds unusual, but it's really delicious. And it works really, really well with her fabulous charro beans, and of course the Mexican rice. You can't go wrong.
They have a little bit of everything; seafood, beef fajitas, shrimp fajitas - they even have chicken fajitas and - of course - tacos of all shapes and sizes.
A good deal on their vegetarian menus and some gluten free options for you as well.
But really, it's a great place to go.
I'd love to hear about your favorite Mexican food restaurants. Please follow me on Facebook and let me know what places you love to go to.
