Battle Lake Review

Guest Speakers Enlighten NBL Members

Network Battle Lake members gather together to discuss area news/issues and to build Battle Lake through partnerships every Thursday at 7:30 a.m. in The Shoreline back room. They also invite guest speakers to come and meet and learn more about what they do and promote. Battle Lake City Police Department Chief of Police Todd Quaintance (right) and Officer Ethan Mahrer were at the August 26th gathering. They told what their duties are and extra little things. Also their schooling, past work experiences and family.

At September 9th meeting, “Empowering Kids” of Perham’s educator/director Tif-fany Tobkin (left) and general manager Christi Stoll discussed what their program offers to the area and families especially for those diagnosed with Autism and other social challenges including ADHD. They are one of the only non-profit autism programs located between Moorhead and Minneapolis.
