Who is Cupcake from The Masked Singer?
SWEET Cupcake was one of the most demanded costumes going into season 6 of The Masked Singer.
On October 13, 2021, fans finally found out who was behind the mask.
What does Cupcake look like?
The top-secret singing competition has celebrities competing in elaborate costumes to hide their identities.
Cupcake was a colorful confection that stood tall in her thigh-high, lime green boots and matching eye shadow.
Her hands were covered by blue velvet gloves and her hat is covered in sprinkles.
Cupcake definitely left viewers with cravings in the lineup of 16 other contestants.
Who was the cupcake?
On October 13, fans found out that American singer–songwriter Ruth Pointer was underneath the cupcake costume.
Pointer, 75, is best known as the eldest member of The Pointer Sisters.
For her last performance, Pointer took the stage to perform Martha Reeves & The Vandellas’ song Heat Wave.
She competed in the Group B round against duo Banana Split, Queen Of Hearts, the Mallard and new wildcard the Caterpillar.
After Pointer was revealed, host Nick Cannon went on to call her a "true performer."
She then revealed that her sister, Anita Pointer, was supposed to join her but due to health concerns, she had to perform alone.
"There were supposed to be two cupcakes, but Anita is having some health issues we couldn't avoid so I ended up doing it by myself," Pointer said.
