South Korea’s ATEEZ re-enter Billboard‘s Emerging Artists chart (dated Sept. 25) at No. 1, becoming the top emerging act in the U.S. for the first time, thanks to the act’s new EP, Zero : Fever Part.3.

The set, released via KQ/RCA Records, debuts at No. 1 on World Albums, and No. 42 on the all-genre Billboard 200, with 13,000 equivalent album units earned, according to MRC Data. It’s the group’s first World Albums No. 1 and eighth top 10.

ATEEZ is the fifth duo or group to top Emerging Artists this year, among 17 total leaders, after Black Pumas (one week in March), Hiatus Kaiyote (one week, July), Måneskin (nine weeks, July-September) and Turnstile (one week, September). Such acts are trending upward on the chart, as ATEEZ, Turnstile, Måneskin and Hiatus Kaiyote have combined to lead for 12 consecutive weeks.

Dating to the chart’s launch in 2017, ATEEZ is the sixth K-pop group to reign, following NCT, BLACKPINK, NCT 127, Tomorrow X Together and NCT Dream.

ATEEZ is an acronym for “A TEEnager Z” and also stands for “A to Z.” It comprises members Hongjoong, Jongho, Mingi, San, Seonghwa, Wooyoung, Yeosang and Yunho.

Among other Emerging Artists chart moves, BLACKPINK member Lisa debuts at No. 3 thanks to her new solo singles “Lalisa” and “Money.” The former debuts at No. 1 on World Digital Song Sales and No. 84 on the all-encompassing Billboard Hot 100, marking her first solo entry, while the singles start at Nos. 6 and 8, respectively, on the all-genre Digital Song Sales chart.

Lisa is the third BLACKPINK member to appear on Emerging Artists, after Jennie in 2018 (No. 29 peak) and Rosé this March (No. 2). She joins Jennie in having hit No. 1 on World Digital Song Sales, as “Solo” led in 2018. Lisa also joins Rosé in having posted a solo entry on the Hot 100, as “On the Ground” reached No. 70 in March.

As a group, BLACKPINK has tallied seven entries on the Hot 100, reaching a No. 13 best to-date with “Ice Cream,” with Selena Gomez, in September 2020.

Plus, Chloe Bailey, under the mononym Chloe, debuts at No. 4 on Emerging Artists thanks to her debut solo single “Have Mercy.” The track, which she performed on the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards Sept. 12, debuts at No. 28 on the Hot 100, where it’s her first solo entry. She previously reached No. 63 in September 2020 as half of Chloe x Halle, with “Do It.”

Chloe x Halle reached No. 21 on Emerging Artists in May 2020.

The Emerging Artists chart ranks the most popular developing artists of the week, using the same formula as the all-encompassing Billboard Artist 100, which measures artist activity across multiple Billboard charts, including the Hot 100, Billboard 200 and the Social 50. (The Artist 100 lists the most popular acts, overall, each week.) However, the Emerging Artists chart excludes acts that have notched a top 25 entry on either the Hot 100 or Billboard 200, as well as artists that have achieved two or more top 10s on Billboard’s “Hot” song genre charts and/or consumption-based “Top” album genre rankings.
