Google co-founder Sergey Brin’s wife throws Studio 54 party at Zero Bond

Google co-founder Sergey Brin’s wife, Nicole Shanahan, threw a lavish Studio 54-style party at hot New York members club Zero Bond.

The bash, we are told, was a “celebration of life post-pandemic” but also to celebrate the birthday of Shanahan, who is an attorney and the founder of BIa-Echo Foundation, which fights for reproductive equality, criminal justice reform and a healthy planet.

Guests including Elon Musk, Shawn Mendes, Jared Leto and even Barstool Sports boss Dave Portnoy dined at a caviar, oyster and lobster bar upon arriving at the SoHo hotspot on Saturday.

Other big names invited to the exclusive fête included La La Anthony, Brooklyn Nets coach Steve Nash, comedian Jeff Ross and Hizzoner’s equestrian daughter Georgina Bloomberg.

An insider told us, “The party started with a 60-person dinner followed by performances by DJs Diplo and Kygo.

“It wasn’t a themed party, but the room was styled to be as magical as Studio 54, with wall-to-wall mirrors, and a jazz band played before the performances.

“There was a smoke-blowing silver dragon that snaked through the crowd with dancers, turning the event into a dance party that went super late.”

The source added, “They took everyone’s phone upon entry so all the guests could relax and enjoy themselves.”

Shanahan, who married Brin in 2018, threw the bash in a private room at hospitality guru Scott Sartiano’s club, which was the scene of a host of New York Fashion Week parties earlier this month.

We are told that Shanahan is also launching a new carbon sequestration initiative, which is the process of capturing and storing atmospheric carbon dioxide to help counteract the release of greenhouse gas emissions, which she discussed with many of the guests at the event to add their support.

The party happened after Brin and his Google co-founder, Larry Page, canceled plans to hold their annual Google Camp in Sicily this summer, which is seen as a private version of the World Economic Forum.

Since 2012, they have hosted the three-day August retreat at the Verdura Resort, where the world’s wealthiest and most powerful people — plus their celebrity friends — exchange ideas. The past guest list has featured Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry, Katy Perry, Diane von Furstenberg, Barry Diller and Michael Jordan.
