The Crown won big at this weekend's Emmy Awards. In one of the night's most highly anticipated awards, Josh O'Connor, who played Prince Charles in seasons three and four, won the coveted statue for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. As O'Connor walked down the Emmys red carpet, he was asked about two specific members of the show's audience—real-life royals Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

In their interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Duke and Duchess confessed that they had seen parts of The Crown, though they did not mention which episodes they'd watched. However, O'Connor was unaware that Meghan and Harry tuned in, and expressed his surprise upon hearing that fact.

"I actually didn't know that," O'Connor said, smiling. "I mean, that's great. I love that. I'm quite pleased. I mean, any audience for The Crown is great."

He continued: "I'm so glad that they watched it and I think it's one of those shows that's just touched a lot of people. So, the more, the merrier."

The actor was also asked about his own royal counterpart, Prince Charles. He told ET that, if he could ask the Prince of Wales any one question, he would get some clarity on his dietary preferences.

"I just want to ask him if he has a boiled egg with every meal, which apparently he does! Which, I feel like is a good question," O'Connor said.

Later in the evening, O'Connor looked elated as he accepted his Outstanding Actor award. In his speech, he made sure to give co-star Emma Corrin, who played Princess Diana, a special shout-out.

"Emma Corrin, you're a force of nature," he said. "I love you very much."
